JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s been months since Hurricane Irma, but one local woman said she's been asking the city for months to remove a tree that fell during the storm.

Barbara Weathers said the double water oak tree is a hazard and blind spot when she tries to reverse out of her driveway.
Weathers tells us the city is responsible for moving the tree because her property ends at her fence.
“This would be the city property because you got the light post here,” she said.
Barbara says she's reached out to the city multiple times for them to collect the tree. She says it's a huge blind spot and hazard when she's trying to reverse her car. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/goqPr8FoFi

Action News Jax measured the nearly 20-foot-long tree. The circumference of the root system alone was larger than 10 feet.
Weathers said the city came to move the tree out of the road and pick up some debris, but it’s still there.

Weathers said that isn’t enough.
“I want the tree removed. Everything. Knock the dirt down if you can, if you can’t take it with you,” she said.
We reached out to the city, which said it will check on the update of the claim number.
Barbara says the tree is outside of her property. She says her property starts where the fence starts. She tells me it's the city's responsibility.@ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/dj36PbF0cA

The double water oak root system was shallow, but has a large surface area. It's about the size of a boulder and now it's preventing Barbara from reconstructing her fence. Catch the story at 530pm @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/riiXkG3DCF
