Jax Kids Book Club is celebrating 15 years

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jax Kids Book Club is celebrating 15 years.

The free program promotes early literacy and education for local children.

Since it was created in 2004, the Jax Kids Book Club has provided more than 1 million books to 4-and-5-year-olds across the city.

The program is managed by the city's Kids Hope Alliance.

Jacksonville's first lady Molly Curry will celebrate the anniversary by reading to children at City Hall on Dec. 4.
