JFRD employee arrested for allegedly head-butting a man

A Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department engineer is facing charges for allegedly head-butting a man at a local school.

According to an arrest report, Jason Jimenez confronted the alleged victim Friday morning at a local school in Clay County.

The alleged victim said he stood up when Jimenez walked into the building and went to shake his hand when Jimenez pushed his chest against him and told him to go outside. The man said he went outside and that is when Jimenez pushed him into some glass doors.

A spokesperson for JFRD said Jimenez has been placed on administrative leave. He's been with the department since 2000 and has no prior discipline on his record.
