JFRD Hazmat crews respond to gas leak in eTown

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to the eTown area Thursday afternoon for a broken gas line.

According to a tweet, the JFRD Hazmat team is on scene at the 10800 block of Kenworth Way.

This is the same area Action News Jax told you would be the future home of JFRD station 74. Last week the fire department broke ground near the eTown Welcome Center, just blocks away from where the broken gas line was reported.

At the Sept. 22 groundbreaking, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry said the fire station will increase response times in the community.
