JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office corrections officer was arrested Friday and is suspended without pay.

Ian Murray is facing a grand theft charge and two counts of falsifying official documents by a public servant, according to a release from JSO.

An investigation by JSO's Integrity Unit found that Murray submitted military leave requests on two occasions that he did not have military duty. Murray is a sergeant in the Army Reserves.

Murray has been with the JSO since 2009 and was assigned to the Montgomery Correctional Center on the Northside.
