JSO: Woman arrested for stabbing and killing man on Kingston St. Thursday night

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Kimberly Davis, 31, was arrested for murder Friday after police say she stabbed and killed a 33-year-old man on Kingston Street Thursday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Davis and the victim knew each other prior to the stabbing.

JSO said multiple witnesses came forward with information that allowed homicide detectives to quickly identify the suspect.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was fatally stabbed Thursday evening.

Police say they received a 911 call at 9:25 p.m. from a person who said their friend had been stabbed on Kingston Street and they were currently driving the victim to UF Health in a Dodge Charger.

A short time later, JSO said they received another 911 call about a single-car crash involving the same car.

When officers arrived, they found three people inside the car, including the man who had been stabbed in the chest.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased in the emergency room.

Police say they are interviewing the two people who were present during the stabbing. They say the suspect was a woman who fled the area in a dark-colored car.
