All westbound lanes of Merrill Road at Columbine are were shutdown Thursday afternoon from a single vehicle crash, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).
JSO told Action News Jax that two adult males and a toddler, a little boy, have life-threatening injuries after their white Dodge Journey collided with a utility pole. Witnesses told police the SUV was attempting to make a hard left turn before the crash.
The toddler was restrained with a seatbelt, not a car or booster seat, according to police.
Two adults and one pediatric have been transported from this accident.
