Man realizes he's been shot while walking

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man walking down North Davis Street on Thursday night heard a gunshot and later realized he had been shot.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the 23-year-old man realized he was shot in the shoulder in the 1500 block of North Davis Street in the Hogan's Creek area.

The man ran to get help and flagged down a passing motorist who took him to UF Health Jacksonville. He is listed as being in stable condition.

JSO said it does not have any suspects at this time.
