JSO: Woman may have been carjacked by boyfriend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 8 a.m. Sept. 19 update: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says they have new information regarding Marsha Higgins.

Police asked the public to be on the lookout for her and her Toyota Scion on Wednesday night after they said the woman may have been carjacked and could be being held against her will by her boyfriend.

On Thursday morning, JSO said the pair were in the Volusia County area Wednesday night. The silver four-door Toyota Scion now has a new Tennessee tag: 1R99S1

There are no current records for Chilton or Higgins in Duval, St. Johns, or Clay County.

However, court records show Chilton was previously arrested in Tennessee and North Carolina.

In Sevier County, TN, Chilton was arrested for meth possession.

In Knox County, TX, he was charged with domestic assault.

Action News Jax found previous activity from the couple online.

On what appears to be Higgins Facebook page, she posted about a “date night with Brad Chilton” Sunday evening at Whiskey Jax in Jacksonville Beach.

Reporter Elizabeth Pace spoke with the owner to learn if they have records of the couple there that night, and they are working to find any surveillance video.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help to find a woman that may have been carjacked by her boyfriend.

According to the person that called JSO -- he may be holding her against her will, and they may be near Jacksonville Beach.

JSO says to look out for a silver four-door Toyota Scion with Tennessee plates.
