Kids’ face masks flying off shelves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Duval County will be providing at least one mask to every student with extras on hand for replacements.

  • Inside school, bandanas, gaitors, and masks with valves are not allowed.
  • Mask must cover nose and chin.
  • Once Upon A Child, a store in Mandarin, has sold about 1800 since pandemic began. The owner is reordering constantly. They are a flat rate of $5.99 and can also be shipped.
  • At home, experts recommend parents practice wearing masks with their kids (i.e. putting them on, adjusting them etc.). They also recommend to have fun with it and let them pick out their favorite design. Superheroes and tie dye have been a popular choice for kids at Once Upon A Child.
