In light of #FreeBritney, Florida looks at reforms to its guardianship program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The State of Florida is working on reforms to its guardianship program, in light of the recent controversy over pop star Britney Spears and her 13-year conservatorship.

The Florida Court Clerk’s Association’s “Guardianship Improvement Task Force” will meet for the last time Thursday in Tallahassee.

The meeting is at Florida State University from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but you can also attend virtually.
