Make-A-Wish Handbags and Happy Hour: Jacksonville raises over $53,000

Action News Jax was proud to help raise over $53,000 at the Make-A-Wish Handbags and Happy Hour event.

Throughout the evening, attendees bid on designer handbags, watched a fashion show and participated in a live auction, all to help Make-A-Wish grant wishes for local children with critical illnesses.

The evening was hosted by Action News Jax morning anchor Letisha Bereola. Action News Jax anchor John Bachman attended the event as well. He serves on the board for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida.

CBS47'S "The Talk" host Sharon Osbourne even donated a Chanel bag for the live auction portion of the evening.
