Man accused of videotaping children

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A man from St. Johns County is accused of spying on young girls.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Gonzalo Martin Galvis on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim between the ages of 12-16, and video voyeurism on a child under 16.

The investigation began Tuesday afternoon when deputies responded to a home in St. Augustine Beach.

The mother of the female victims, according to the arrest report, told investigators that one victims said Galvis had been spying on her.  One of the victims, according to deputies, also claimed Galvis touched her breasts.

The mother also said she found video footage on a shared laptop computer in their home that reportedly showed Galvis setting up a recording device in a bedroom and the victim or victims walking into the room and disrobing.

Galvis, according to the report, admitted to detectives he secretly recorded the victims for sexual gratification.  Investigators say Galvis also admitted to fondling the victim's breasts.
