SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. — A driver was critically injured in a traffic accident according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Ronald Lee Johnson was driving a 2001 Mazda pickup north on 129th Road in Suwannee County. He ran off the east shoulder and over corrected causing the vehicle to rotate in a counter clockwise direction across 129th Road.
Johnson then hit a power pole off the west shoulder of 129th Road.
The car came to a final rest against the power pole on the west shoulder facing in a northwesterly direction.
Johnson was flown to Shands UF after sustaining critical injuries.
