A man has died following a stabbing on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The stabbing occurred outside the Circle K gas station at North Edgewood Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue Monday evening.

At 6:45 p.m. police were dispatched to the gas station in reference to someone being stabbed. JSO said they found a man "severely wounded" when they arrived. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are looking for a man and a woman who may be involved.

The man is described as possibly light-skinned, wearing dark shorts and a red jersey with the number 7 on it, police said.

Police said the woman may be driving an older white Toyota Camry with no tag.

At this time, detectives do not know what led up to the stabbing.

A neighbor told Action News Jax one man stabbed another in the neck and that "it all happened so fast."

This is an active investigation. JSO asks anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS (8477).
