Man found shot in Regency neighborhood refusing to talk with JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is not cooperating with Jacksonville police after he was shot somewhere in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says early Wednesday morning the victim walked up to a random home in the Woodland Acres neighborhood asking for help. That person living off Dandy Avenue says they have no connection to the man.

Police believe he could have walked there from an unknown area where he was shot. He was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. JSO says his injuries don’t appear serious.

JSO is struggling to find more information at this time, including the victim’s identity, since he is refusing to talk.

No one is in custody for the shooting and no suspect information has been released.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call JSO’s non-emergency line at 904-630-0500, email them at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org or call Crime Stoppers 1-866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous.
