A narcotics unit is on the scene of a home where a person was killed in Talleyrand, police said early Friday morning.
Officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they received the call at approximately 3:30 a.m. of a suspicious death at a home near 31st Street and Evergreen Avenue.
Police said the door was already open when they arrived at the home and found one man inside who had been shot. Police said no one else was inside the home.

A narcotics unit was at the scene inside the house.
Investigators are getting a searching warrant to enter the house.

Police say there are currently no witnesses and they cannot locate the 911 caller.
Investigators are working to determine the age of the man and how man many times he was shot.
