Police said a man was shot in an apparent drive-by near former Eureka Garden Apartments on Jacksonville’s Westside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the intersection of Plymouth St. and Labelle St. around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said they found a man with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

JSO said a white car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala or Mercury Grand Marquis left the scene at a high rate of speed after the shooting.
There is no description of the shooter.
Investigators said it’s unclear if the victim was targeted or if it was a random shooting.
JSO said they have no witnesses.
