Drivers are concerned about the number of credit card skimmers found at different gas stations across Florida.
A report from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services show 613 skimmers have been found at pumps so far this year.
Last year, there were 219 skimmers located.
“Well, that is a concern. That is most definitely a concern,” driver Pamela Brown said.
Brown said she checks the credit card slot before sliding her card to get gas.
“Just to see if there was something sticking in it where there may be the potential for fraud on my credit card,” Brown said.
We mapped out the 15 gas stations, located in seven counties in northeast Florida, where 21 skimmers were found.
