JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was killed Sunday night in a crash involving a motorcycle and semi truck in Jacksonville.
The crash temporarily shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Interstate 295 on the Northside, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said the motorcyclist, 28-year-old Joseph Powell, died at the scene.
The motorcyclist lost control and hit the concrete barrier wall, FHP said. A tractor-trailer hit Powell and left the scene, FHP said. A third tractor-trailer, which may have also hit the motorcyclist, stopped at the scene, troppers said.
