Multiple arrests made in Arlington armed carjacking

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has made multiple arrests after there was an armed carjacking in Arlington early Saturday morning.
 
Officers say the incident happened at the Gregory Cove Apartments.
 
The victim told police an unknown man and woman with a handgun took his 2012 Kia Soul.
 
Patrol units saw the victim's car traveling west on the Mathews Bridge after the carjacking.
 
Officers tell Action News they followed the vehicle, and stopped it at Liberty Street and 8th Street. The officers took the occupants into custody.
 
After the first set of arrests police say they stopped another vehicle in connection to the incident on North Main Street. The JSO also detained the occupants in that vehicle.
