The Sheriff’s Office said a man was threatening to kill his brother with a knife.

When they arrived, they tried to make an arrest but say the man armed with a knife came at a deputy and was shot and killed.

The deputy is being placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure, NCSO said.

This is the second deputy-involved shooting in Nassau County in a week. Last week, a woman was shot after she threatened to “blow everyone away;” her family said she was battling mental illness.
