NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — Special needs shelter in Nassau County will be on standby in case of extended county power outage from Tropical Storm Isaias. There are no evacuations planned in the county.

The Nassau County Emergency Emergency Management advises, “If you feel your own safety is at risk, you should take appropriate action.”

Residents that need evacuation assistance or medical accommodations in a public emergency shelter should register on Florida’s Special Needs Registry each hurricane season. You can register here.
