National Take Back Day: Here’s where you can drop off prescription drugs this Saturday

Getting rid of unused prescription drugs from your medicine cabinets could potentially save a life.

Opioid overdose deaths have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and studies show many abused prescription drugs come from the medicine cabinets of family and friends.

Families who want to properly dispose the drugs have an opportunity to do so this weekend.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is holding its 20th National Take Back Day on Saturday, April 24.

On this day, there will be collection sites available where families can drop off the potentially harmful medications.
