One trip down State Road 200 will mess up the alignment on any vehicle, according to neighbors who make the drive every day.
Jennett Baker told Action News Jax, “The bumps in that road are so atrocious out there.”
Drivers said the traffic was shifted to newly paved lanesThursday, but the stretch from Blackrock Road to Old Nassauville Road is still an issue.
In October 2017 Action News Jax showed you damage to vehicles, which owners blamed on the $60 million lane-widening project.
On Friday, local families said conditions aren’t improving fast enough.
Lisa O’Grady described, “It’s very much a danger because you’re trying to always avoid the potholes and then the guardrails.”
Drivers said lack of markings and sudden traffic shifts are other hazards they want addressed.
Baker explained, “I think that’s the danger out there.”
A spokesperson for Florida Department of Transportation said in the coming weeks, they’ll be reworking temporary paving and remarking lanes.
