ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A new development in St. Augustine is underway and it’s expected to bring dozens of jobs to the area.
Along the St. Augustine shipyards currently its full of land and a proposed restaurant that’s being developed.
Chase Pritchard, the chef and owner of Culinary Outfitters, said the restaurant is part of a new push to bring more business to the community.
The new restaurant is in the early stages of development Plans call for it to expand from eightcurrent employees to more than 80.
“This will be the first business here along with the dry boat storage and then there will be more to come along the waterfront eventually. It will be more business and create more jobs for the community” Pritchard said.
With the expansion in employees Pritchard said that means expanded opportunities for more entertainment.
“We’ll have a fire pit, a spot for live band, outdoor bar and patio,” Pritchard said.
There will also be around 85 spots along the water to dock a boat. The project is expected to be completed in November.
Pritchard said he’s most excited for the grand opening and the chance to bring new job opportunities to the community.
“It will be something St. Augustine hasn’t seen before,” Pritchard said.
