The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has responded to a social media post circulating on the internet about Mandarin residents having bleach thrown on them.
In the post, a Facebook user warns Mandarin residents to be on the look out for two white males going door to door throwing bleach on people outside their homes, beating them up and burglarizing their home.
The post also states the males are driving a maroon-colored SUV.
Police responded Wednesday morning after receiving many requests from the public on the validity of the warning.
"We have 0 reports of anyone having bleach thrown on them by unknown people, being beat up/robbed after having bleach thrown on them, or someone carrying a jar with bleach, " JSO said in a tweet.
This post is circulating on social media and we are getting many requests from the public asking if it is true.
