An officer-involved crash occurred on Jacksonville's Southside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO said the crash occurred on Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., police said an off-duty officer ran into the back end of a vehicle headed northbound on Southside Boulevard. The vehicle that was hit by the officer then crashed into two vehicles that were stopped in the turn lanes on Baymeadows Road.
One person in the vehicle hit by the officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, JSO said.

JSO Traffic Homicide Detectives were called to the scene to investigate what led to the crash, there was no preliminary cause given by an officer on-scene. The officer was not injured.
