PALATKA, Fla. — Two Palatka men were arrested Thursday for selling large amounts of drugs and guns, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The Tri-County Task Force, which is a team of investigators from FDLE, Homeland Security, ATF, Putnam, Flagler and St. John's Sherrif's Offices and Palatka Police Department, began investigating the two men in September after receiving a tip about the men selling drugs and guns.
Marcellus Matson and Spencer Walker III were booked into the Putnman County Jail Thursday after the Tri-County Task Force served warrants in two houses in Palatka. Investigators found 19 guns, a large amount of ammunition and 200 grams of molly.
Prior to serving the warrants, Task Force members set up a controlled buy with Matson and purchased more than a pound of cocaine and phenethylamines, known as "molly."
Matson was charged with trafficking in phenethylamines, 400 grams or more and maintaining a drug dwelling or conveyance and trafficking in cocaine, 400 grams or more and trafficking in cocaine, 200-400 grams.
Task Force members also set up controlled buys with Walker and bought an AR-15 style rifle and two loaded pistols, one of which had its serial number removed.
Walker was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and sale or possession of a firearm with a serial number altered or removed.
