Nassau Humane Society says it just received two more German shepherds from a South Georgia hoarding case that landed their owner in jail.

The director tells Action News Jax that the new rescues need names. They are unsocialized and feel more comfortable together but they don’t know if they are “bonded” yet.

Nassau Humane rescued seven German shepherds from the massive hoarding case in South Georiga. An estimated 500 German shepherds were found on two properties in a breeding operation.

Some of the dogs were injured, and all were in need of immediate attention. Action News Jax was told many of the dogs had very little contact with humans or experience being on a leash.

Angela Powell was charged with felony cruelty to animals in the case.

Nassau Humane is still look for fosters for two of its original rescues.

Denali and Hollywood need loving families without any cats, kids or small dogs.
