The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was on the scene of a report of a suspicious item in the area of San Jose Boulevard and Haley Road.
Northbound and southbound lanes of San Jose Boulevard at Haley Road were shut down, but JSO has since reopened the roads and deemed the item not to be a hazard.
Businesses and the synagogue were evacuated, according to JSO.
The bomb squad was notified and determined the item contained no hazardous materials or items.
