Police officer celebrates 60 years of working with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officer Adam Fluker, Jr., is celebrating his 60th year with the City of Jacksonville.

He began his career with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on March 16, 1963 as a police officer.

He worked for several divisions during his time as a patrolman including Patrol, traffic and the civil divisions.

With showing his experienced skills throughout the years he earned a recognition award as the “Officer of the Month”.

Officer Fluker’s career as a police officer ended in 1997 upon his retirement after 34 years of faithful service to this community.

Prior to retiring, he asked for – and received a position in the Duval County Courthouse. Without a break in the action, Officer Fluker made the transfer to serve the community as a Sworn Bailiff.

According to JSO, he continues to be a respected member in the Jacksonville community.
