Publix offers free cookies on 'Chocolate Chip Day'

You can get a free cookie at Publix Wednesday for National Chocolate Chip Day.

Customers just neet to stop by Wednesday, May 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Publix bakery, according to FOX 13.

In honor of National Chocolate Chip Day, Publix shared some facts about their cookies:

-Each cookie is packed full of about 45-50 semi-sweet chocolate chips
-Publix has been using the same recipe for more than 30 years
-Publix bakeries sell about 1,182,976,680 chocolate chip cookies every year, which means they use more than 5.9 trillion chocolate chips to make Publix chocolate chip cookies
-Kids always get cookies for free and Publix gives out more than 10 million of them every year!
