JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — After two decades, the Publix located at the Gateway Shopping Center in Jacksonville has made plans to close.
The store located on Norwood Avenue is approaching the end of their lease and they have decided to not renew.
A Publix spokesperson told Action News Jax the store will close on Dec. 28.
Current employees are being offered positions at other Publix locations.
The spokesperson said customers can shop at other Publix locations like Dunn Avenue and Riverside.
