Report: Five people collapse at Jacksonville party after using cocaine

A Callahan man was arrested after five people had to be revived with Narcan after collapsing at a party, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said in a report.

Tristin Sisson, 19, is charged with child abuse after the Nov. 17 incident at a house on Old Kings Road.

The report says Sisson admitted to having the rest of the cocaine in his wallet. Neighbors in the area say the home is typically quiet.

JSO was called to the house after reports that five people had overdosed at a party. Witnesses said that Sisson had brought cocaine to the party, and five people stopped breathing after snorting it.

Officers suspected that the cocaine that Sisson gave the victims was possibly laced with fentanyl.

First responders were able to revive all five victims using Narcan. The powder found in Sisson's pocket tested positive for cocaine, the report said.

According to drugabuse.org, there has been a rise in overdose deaths related to cocaine -- over 14,500  people died from cocaine overdoses in 2017 in the U.S.
