Some people say they feel like hostages in their own home.

"That is wrong honey, very, very wrong. I cry my heart out," neighbor Eva Savales said.

"Someone has to do something about this," Otha Herrod added.

Last week, Action News Jax investigates reported on pest control removing four dead rats from a neighbor’s attic.

Action News Jax went back to the apartments and tried to talk to management about the issue.

A property management worker replied, “They can come into the office and speak with us, thank you.”

After no luck, we found two workers with the property management’s regional office talking to a neighbor we interviewed last week.

After questioning workers with property management, they provided to us a number to contact their corporate office.

Action News Jax called the number provided right away, but hasn't heard back from anyone.

"Every night and morning, I spray to keep the creatures away. They don't care, and I can see them crawling in front of my door," Savales said.

"It is really, really disgusting how they do people just because we're low income," Herrod said.

Neighbors told Action News Jax that workers put out rat poison after they complained, but they say it didn’t help.
