JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Health inspectors found the following violations at Ho Ho Chinese restaurant on Lem Turner Road at Gandy Street in Jacksonville, causing it to be temporarily closed:
- 48 rodent droppings
- raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food
- a wall soiled with accumulated grease
Elsewhere, New York Pizza Company located at Palencia Village Drive and U.S. 1, was cited for:
- potentially hazardous food temperatures
- a mold-like substance in an ice machine
- an employee with no beard guard
Inspectors say Mr. Dragon Chinese Restaurant on San Juan Avenue near Jammes Road had:
- potentially hazardous food temperatures
- food stored on the floor
- the food manager certification was expired
Viva Authentic Mexican Restaurant on Faye Road near Alta Drive was cited for:
- an employee touching ready-to-eat food with their bare hands
- potentially hazardous food temperatures
- encrusted material on can opener blade
All restaurants mentioned have since passed follow-up inspections.
