Restaurant Report visits Las Tapatias Panaderia, Embassy Suites Restaurant, Filipino Cuisine

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Your health and safety: It's why state health inspectors make surprise visits at local restaurant, and it's why Action News does the Restaurant Report.

Romney Smith checked the state inspection reports to give you the facts.
We visited Las Tapatias Panaderia.
"My name is Romney, I'm with Action News and the Original Restaurant Report. Is there a manager or owner here? Smith asked.
While we waited for the owner, here's what we found: 24 violations, 9 of them high priority, including small flying insects in the bakery and an employee emptying the trash then working with dough without washing their hands. As for the manager ...
Employee: "He's in Mexico now."
Smith: "When will he be back?"
Employee: "I don't know … "
The other restaurants near the top of the list with high priority violations include Embassy Suites Restaurant, with seven high priority violations including a stop sale on food kept at unsafe temperatures.
Filipino Cuisine has six high priority violations, including utensils stored in unclean water and food kept at hazardous temperatures.
