A retired U.S. Marine living in Nassau County thought he'd lost a cherished photo.
Carol Huffaker found it, and launched a search on social media.
It didn't take long to find the owner. The photo belonged to Michael Lamb, who says it blew away from his garage during a rainstorm on Oct. 15.
The photo was taken in Nov. 1979 as Lamb and fellow servicemen gathered to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday.
“I posted on a couple of different local sites for Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach,” said Huffaker.
Huffaker said Lamb saw the post, and the two met to make the exchange.
Huffaker put the photo in a frame so it wouldn't blow away again.
