Roger Stone has approval to visit Orange Park for Thanksgiving, according to court documents

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It looks like Roger Stone will be visiting Northeast Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Federal court document show Stone has been granted permission to travel to Orange Park from today through Sunday.

The longtime ally of President Donald Trump is set to be sentenced in federal court in February after he was found guilty of lying to congress, tampering with a witness and obstructing a House investigation into the 2016 presidential election.

Stone has to provide a detailed itinerary as well as documentation for the trip before he can travel, according to court documents. He then has to contact his parole officer when he gets home.

He previously had permission to travel to the Southern District of Florida, but Clay County is in the Middle District so he needed to get approval before coming here.

It could be his final Thanksgiving as a free man, depending on the sentence he gets.
