The Christmas assistance, which is called the Angel Tree program provides new toys and clothes for children 12 or younger.

Applicants may apply for one or both assistance programs.

“The Salvation Army expects at least a 50% increase in families seeking assistance this Christmas season due to the economy’s downward spiral resulting from the pandemic. We appreciate the support of our friends and donors, which is needed now more than ever, to ‘Rescue Christmas’ for every family in need,” said Area Commander, Major Keath Biggers.

The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida serves nearly 5,000 local children with their holiday assistance.

Due to COVID-19, they have adapted their services to make sure children in every community receive the gifts, food, and clothes they deserve.
