With temperatures that could drop into the 30s, the Jacksonville chapter of the Salvation Army said it would open a cold-weather shelter on Thursday night.
The shelter will be at 900 Adams Street. A hot meal will be served at 6:30 p.m., and coffee and pastries will be available Friday morning.
