JSO: Reports of gunfire at Lee High School are false

Jacksonville officers were called to Lee High School Tuesday after a report of gunfire but determined that no shooting occurred, according to officials.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said on Twitter that JSO received a 911 call about gunfire at the school.

Officers responded and set up a perimeter as Duval School police checked the school.

JSO said officers have determined no shots were fired.

Duval County Public Schools says it's aware of several threats made about schools on social media.
