Family desperate to find missing St. Johns County man in Atlanta

A St. Johns County family is asking for help to find a missing man.

Jonathan Green lives with his grandparents in Ponte Vedra and he took a Megabus from Jacksonville to the Atlanta area for a job interview more than a week ago and then vanished.

For the past 11 days, Green’s family has been holding out hope that they would hear from him soon.

“The last time I talked to him was on the 10th, I said, ‘Jon, I love you, he said I love you’ back,” his mother, Tiffany Green said.

The 25-year-old left Jacksonville for metro Atlanta for a job interview, but after he talked to his grandparents on FaceTime from his hotel room, his family said they can’t reach him.

“Just to hear his voice, just to know he's OK,” Green said.

His mom said they got a few text messages from his phone, but they don’t think he was the one doing the typing.

“It was from his phone, but we don't know if it was from him, some of the language didn't sound like it was from him,” his grandfather Carl Bright said.

Green said someone also cashed some of his checks at a store in Atlanta and the person on the store video is not her son.

“Just give me my child back, I want to know where he is,” Green said.

Gwinnett County police said the detective has just been assigned the case and they aren't sure if anything criminal has occurred.
