PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said Sarita May, 82, of Ponte Vedra Beach, died after a crash on A1A near Sawgrass Village Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach Monday evening.
Troopers said she was a passenger in a Toyota Prius that was involved in a crash with another car.
FHP said just before 7 p.m., the driver of the Prius was attempting to make a left turn from State Road A1A at L-Atrium Drive when it was hit by a Lexus at the intersection.

After hitting the Prius, troopers said the Lexus overturned and the Prius spun clockwise, striking a pole. The driver of the Prius, a 74-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
A third car had minor damage from flying debris. The driver of the Lexus had minor injuries.
