St. Augustine: Sunglass Hut theft suspect arrested, police say

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s office arrested Travis Andreu Geiger, 29, on theft and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon charges on Jan. 24.

A robbery was reported at the Sunglass Hut located at 2700 State Road 16, and an employee provided police with a description of the suspect.

Soon after, an officer noticed a man walking down 2560 State Road 16 who fit the description. The officer questioned the man, identified as Geiger, and he admitted to stealing from Sunglass Hut.

Upon searching his backpack, the officer found three knives.

Geiger then also admitted to being a convicted felon.
