ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was allegedly watching young kids as they were playing outside in a quiet Nocatee neighborhood.
The family who called St Johns County Sheriff’s Office tells Action News Jax she asked to take pictures of their young kids.
Then after she was turned down, the woman allegedly became irate, yelling and speeding out of the neighborhood.
The family also said she claimed to be a reporter, but never gave a company name.
Neighbors we spoke to Wednesday night said they haven’t seen anything suspicious.
Local father, Austin Kuo, explains, “It’s kind of weird, but I’ve never seen it. If we see something weird, we will check it out.”
Since it’s involving kids, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office just wants to know what the woman was up to.
Were told she’s a white, thin, 25 to 35-year-old with messy shoulder length brown hair and that she was wearing a light gray hoodie.
Police say she was driving an older model red Hyundai or Honda sedan with damage to the front left fender.
A tag was unobtainable but is believed to be a Florida tag containing the letters A, Y, and/or W.
Any information regarding video footage, photographs, vehicle tags/descriptions, and potential identification, please forward to Detective K. Peluso at kpeluso@sjso.org.
