Surveillance video shows SUV crashing into Ponte Vedra Beach liquor store

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — We got a look at surveillance video capturing the moment a car slams into a liquor store in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The clip lasts only five seconds, but you can see as the car pulls into a parking spot, then accelerates and slams right into the storefront hitting the shelf loaded with liquor.

A store employee was at the cash register just steps away.

The video shows it was raining at the time.

It happened at the AAW Wines and Liquor Store in Ponte Vedra Beach on Thursday.

Part of the door frame came off and glass was left scattered around the store and sidewalk outside.

On Friday the storefront was boarded up and remained open for business.

No one was hurt.

According to employees, the driver of the white BMW claimed that his foot slipped.
