Study: Florida has some of the worst drivers in the country

A study by the by the financial website SmartAsset says that Florida drivers rank among the worst in the United States.

The rest of the South didn’t fare so well either. Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee ranked the worst, seventh-worst and second-worst respectfully.

SmartAsset used four factors to determine the ranking: Number of DUIs per driver, the number of drivers without insurance, how often people do web searches about speeding tickets and average number of deaths per miles driven.

According to the site, “has the lowest rate of insured drivers in the country at 73 percent. To go along with the drivers forgoing insurance, Florida has very high fatality rates.”
