A subtropical depression formed on Wednesday over the Atlantic Ocean.
Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh said that the depression currently does not have local impact.
The system developed over the central Atlantic Ocean and is not expected to hit land, the National Hurricane Center reported on its Twitter page.

However, the depression is a sign that hurricane season is on the way.
Hurricane season officially starts June 1 to November 30, according to the NOAA.
